If your health insurance ends this month, the next few days matter. This checklist keeps you moving.
- Confirm your last day of coverage. Ask your employer or insurer for the exact date in writing.
- Make your list. Your doctors, the medicines you take and their doses, and anything planned: surgery, therapy, a pregnancy.
- Estimate this year's household income. An estimate is fine; it shapes which plans and costs are available to you.
- Check your window. Losing coverage usually opens a 60-day Special Enrollment Period. Don't let it run out.
- Talk with a licensed agent and apply. A plan can start the first day of the month after job-based coverage ends.
Already past your last day?
You may still be inside your 60 days. Move now: the sooner you apply, the sooner a new plan can start.
